What Youāll Need:Ā
- 1 cup all-purpose flourĀ
- 1 ½ cup whole wheat flourĀ
- 1 tsp baking powderĀ
- ā cup coconut sugarĀ
- 1 stick of cold butter (½ cup) cubed or grated
- 2 large eggs (1 for egg wash)Ā
- ½ cup + 2 TbspĀ milkĀ
- 2 tsp cinnamonĀ
- 1 cup Evieās Snacks Raw, Organic Pecans (chopped)Ā
Cinnamon Roll Drizzle:Ā
- ¼ cup powdered sugarĀ
- 1 tsp cinnamonĀ
- 2 tbsp milkĀ
How To Make: āØ
- Preheat your oven to 400F.Ā
- Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.Ā
- In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, baking powder, coconut sugar, and cinnamon. Stir well until evenly combined.Ā
- In a small bowl combine the milk and the egg. Whisk together and set aside.Ā
- Grate the cold butter into the flour and cut through using a fork or your hands.Ā
- Once combined add the milk and egg mixture.Ā
- Slowly start kneading it with your hands until it starts forming a ball.
- Transfer dough onto a floured surface. Press the dough into a circle, about 1-inch thick.Ā
- Wrap with plastic wrap and chill for 30 minutes.Ā
- Using a knife or pastry cutter, cut the dough into 8 equal-sized wedges or squares.Ā
- Place the shaped scones onto the prepared baking sheet.Ā
- Crack an egg into a small bowl and whisk. Brush each scone generously with the egg wash.Ā
- Place in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown on the edges.Ā
- Remove from oven and let cool completely.Ā
- Make the cinnamon roll drizzle by adding the ingredients to a small bowl. Stir together until the powdered sugar is fully dissolved.Ā
- When the scones are cooled, drizzle the cinnamon sugar drizzle on top and add additional chopped pecans.Ā
- Serve the cinnamon roll pecan scones at room temperature.Ā
