Maple Glazed Pecan Cookies

For a batch of 14:

  • 2 1/2 cups AP flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temp
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 egg, room temp
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 bag Evie’s Brown Butter Rum Pecans, chopped

For the glaze, mix together:

  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions:

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar with a stand mixer paddle or hand mixer for 1-2 minutes. Stir in the egg and maple syrup.
  • Slowly mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until combined. Stir in the chopped pecans.
  • Using a large cookie scoop, separate dough into 14 balls and place 3 inches apart on parchment paper. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges turn golden.
  • Let the cookies cool completely, glaze, and decorate as you wish!
