SOURDOUGH DISCARD BUTTER PECAN BLONDIES 💛💫
What You’ll Need:Â
- 1 cup browned butterÂ
- 2 cups flourÂ
- 1 tsp baking powderÂ
- 1 tsp saltÂ
- 1 Âľ cup coconut sugarÂ
- 2 eggs
- ÂĽ cup sourdough discard (can omit if you don’t have)Â
- 1 cup Evie’s Snacks Raw, Organic Pecans (chopped) Â
- ½ cup chocolate chipsÂ
How To Make:
- Preheat your oven to 350°FÂ
- Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and continue cooking it until it turns a golden brown color and develops a nutty aroma. This process usually takes about 5-7 minutes. Once browned, remove the butter from the heat and allow it to cool slightly.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the browned butter, flour, baking powder, salt, and coconut sugar. Mix until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, lightly beat the eggs. Then, add them to the butter mixture and stir until fully incorporated.
- If using sourdough discard, add it to the mixture, and mix until evenly distributed. This will add a tangy flavor and help with the texture of the blondies.
- Fold in the chopped pecans and chocolate chips until they are evenly distributed throughout the batter
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it out evenly with a spatula.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
- Once baked, remove the blondies from the oven and allow them to cool in the pan for about 10-15 minutes.
- After cooling slightly, transfer the blondies to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing them into squares.
- Serve and enjoy these delicious sourdough discard browned butter pecan blondies as a delightful treat!
