SOURDOUGH DISCARD BUTTER PECAN BLONDIES 💛💫
What you’ll need:
1 cup browned butter
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 ¾ cup coconut sugar
2 eggs
¼ cup sourdough discard (can omit if you don’t have)
1 cup Evie’s Snacks Raw, Organic Pecans (chopped)
½ cup chocolate chips
How to make:
Preheat your oven to 350°F
Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and continue cooking it until it turns a golden brown color and develops a nutty aroma. This process usually takes about 5-7 minutes. Once browned, remove the butter from the heat and allow it to cool slightly.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the browned butter, flour, baking powder, salt, and coconut sugar. Mix until well combined.
In a separate bowl, lightly beat the eggs. Then, add them to the butter mixture and stir until fully incorporated.
If using sourdough discard, add it to the mixture, and mix until evenly distributed. This will add a tangy flavor and help with the texture of the blondies.
Fold in the chopped pecans and chocolate chips until they are evenly distributed throughout the batter
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it out evenly with a spatula.
Bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
Once baked, remove the blondies from the oven and allow them to cool in the pan for about 10-15 minutes.
After cooling slightly, transfer the blondies to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing them into squares.
Serve and enjoy these delicious sourdough discard browned butter pecan blondies as a delightful treat!
