Apple Pie Cinnamon Pecan Waffles

Calling all of our apple pie & waffle lovers out there! Where you at?! 

You have to make these Apple Pie Cinnamon Pecan Waffles. They’re loaded with our Sweet & Salty Pecans and an apple pie filling that is downright mouthwatering 🤤

Ingredients:
1 cup flour (can sub for gluten-free flour)
1 egg
¾ cup almond milk
1 tbsp maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 tsp baking powder
½ cup chopped Evie's Sweet & Salty Pecans
¼ tsp salt

Apple pie filling:
1 red apple (can be any variety) chopped and diced
1 tbsp maple syrup
1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp ground cinnamon

Recipe details:
  1. In a large bowl combine the egg, almond milk, maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Whisk until combined.
  2. Add the flour, baking powder, and chopped pecans and mix again until the dry ingredients are incorporated into the wet ingredients. Set aside.
  3. Make the apple pie filling by adding the chopped apple to a small pot with maple syrup, butter, and ground cinnamon. Let stew on the stove for about 10 minutes.
  4. Then using a potato masher, mash the apple so the consistency is like apple sauce. Add to the waffle batter and mix.
  5. Heat your waffle maker and then add about 1 heaping tablespoon of the waffle batter. Bake until golden brown. Repeat until you’ve used all of the batter.
  6. Add maple syrup on top with a sprinkle of powdered sugar and more pecans. Enjoy!
