Have you ever heard the words healthy and candy bar in the same sentence? Nope? Well now you have... This recipe is a MUST try. š¤¤
What you'll need:
- 1 bagĀ pitted dates
- 1/4 cupĀ cultured coconut
- 1 bagĀ Evie's Snacks Raw, Organic PecansĀ
- 1/2 cupĀ dark chocolate
- Flaky sea salt for topping
How to make:Ā
1. In a food processor, blend pitted dates and coconut yogurt until smooth. Place in fridge to set.
2. In a 350F oven, roast pecans for about 10 minutes. This helps bring out their aroma and flavor!
3. In a bowl, mix together the date caramel and roasted pecans.
4. Place on a parchment lined baking sheet or other freezer safe tray (I used the lid of a Pyrex dish!) and smooth out.
5. Melt chocolate in microwave in 20 second increments. Check and mix with a fork to see if it can incorporate, if not add another 20 seconds and try again until full melted.
6. Top pecan mixture with melted dark chocolate and flaky sea salt.
7. Place in freezer to set for at least an hour! Enjoy cold :)
